Selling One’s Self

The depravity of this world never ceases to astonish me. I came across a story with the following headline, “22-Year-Old Sells Virginity On Line—And Feds Can Not Do a Thing To Stop Her.”  Natalie Dylan recently graduated from college with a Bachelors Degree and plans on going for a Graduate Degree in Women’s Studies. In order to pay off her debts and finance her continuing education, she has decided to sell herself to the highest bidder.

I heard part of an interview she gave to Glenn Beck. She claims to be a virgin and decided to prostitute herself for this one time. At the present time she has received a bid for 3.7 million dollars. As the above title suggests, there is nothing that can be done to stop this. Nevada allows prostitution and this is the state this “exchange” will be conducted in.

There are so many things wrong with this story. What kind of a person allows themselves to be sold to another person. Obviously she does not value herself, her body, or the law of God. She explained that her older sister worked as a prostitute for a number of years before retiring.

Eventually she will regret her decision. Her regret may be when she meets Mr. Right. I just wonder how she will explain to him, her decision to sell herself to a complete stranger. I wonder how she will explain to her future in-laws and children of her decision. More importantly I wonder how she will try to justify herself before God. 3.7 million dollars sounds like a lot of money, but I wonder if it is worth the price of hell?

Yet many will sell their soul for a lot less. – Dennis Tucker
